Concept

“There are no walls. It’s just a single domestic car park space. I rent it and it is not to park a car there. I reclaim the streets. I make a platform that you cannot be conventional in.

It’s to enable eco-based art, a space that is more in tune.

For example the artists I took there were immediately inspired. It enables a space for provocative contemporary art without loosing playful street culture”.

I would like to nurture a space that enables art addressing resilience and climate justice, the space should be a platform which is directly in contact with the need to radically change our relationship with sustainability, architecture and lifestyle.

The ‘open air’, public nature of the car park space prevents the predictable journey towards consumerism or commercialisation. There are no walls, the imagination of the artists and theorists is geared to opportunities that are conceptual and imaginative.

It is important to me that the ‘initiative’ or art interactions, they are conducive to community building and not detrimental. I would like the offspace to be generative and positive in bringing art out of the studio and onto the streets. I intend for it to be intelligent and inspiring.

A radical antishipping progressive project.
