Manifesto

In the last 10 years I have hosted many international events. The ‘performance nights’ and event-based exhibitions I have generated in many different countries for many different types of audiences. For example, in 2017 I worked with a group of octogenarians to make a performance in Bergen, in 2021 I was part of a team that enabled five hundred five year olds to build an exhibition in Konsthall C in Stockholm.

Reserviert Nr: 3

I am interested in working with intergenerational collective problem solving. I have visited the Zurich art scene since 2007. In 2020 I relocated to live here as I am the Tutor of Body and Language at ZHdK fine arts BA. In the last two years I have observed exhibitions (with sustainability as ‘subject matter’) I have found the gap between the urgency of the issues addressed and the ‘white cube’ platform to be problematic. I began to question why am I so disappointed by the presentation of objects newly made and invested in within white cube expectations of contemporary art. I began to question why it is frustrating to explore Climate Justice or Anthropocene impact in art, in the conventional methods employed within established institutions.

This offspace (I don't have a car) is a direct reponse to these observations.
